After years of waffling on the subject of blogging, I have finally decided to give it a whirl.
When discussing blogs and blogging with my friends, I always wondered why anyone would want to read my rambling words other than my direct friends and family. I am not lacking in self confidence when I say that. I am just a realist and I know how inundated our world is with people sharing their thoughts via blog. I realized that starting my blog had less to do with wanting people to read my words and more to do with my wanting to put them down on paper, albeit virtual paper. And here we are. Let's get the basics out of the way.

I am 40 years old and I live in Colorado with my boyfriend, Jay and our dog, Johnny and our cat, Jezebel. I am originally from Michigan but I fell in love with the sunshine and mountains of Colorado so we moved here in 1997. I work from home doing medical transcription so I have a lot of free time to pursue my real passion, photography. I started taking pictures daily while doing a self-portrait project a few years back. I discovered a lot about myself and others during that project but it really awakened the desire to shoot (photos not people). I am still a novice when it comes to the technical side of photography but there is something about capturing a moment and sharing it that I just adore. I am still not sure I want to make the leap toward pursuing photography as a career. I am afraid once I
have to do it, it will lose its magic for me. So for now, I shoot whatever strikes me and share with the world via my website. I also enjoy cooking, music, long walks on the beach, blah blah blah. This is sounding more and more like a personal ad so I will end it here.
